Dear Aragon Community,
Welcome to the Aragon Newsletter for the month of September. This month we have been extremely busy helping organise a Global hackathon, Launching the Aragon Network DAO and helping train up the guardians of Aragon Court.
First of following the multichain deployment of polygon Aragon Client on Polygon in August we have now seen hundreds of new DAOs launch in the past four weeks. The cost reduction has opened up DAOs to all communities with DAO deployment now costing bellow $0.1.
DAO Global Hackathon 🖥️
Aragon is proud to be co-organizing the DAO global hackathon which will be running for 7 weeks from the 25th of October until 13th of December, find out more here ➡️
The DAO Global Hackathon is a virtual sprint to build governance primitives, sponsored by leading DAO Infrastructure providers. Resolve technical limitations of the existing DAO tooling (Hackathon Part 1) and be free to build the next frontier of coordination primitives (Hackathon Part 2).
Check out all the partners involved 👀
A combined prize pool in value of +$100k, will be distributed among selected winners across the tracks.
Aragon Network DAO
The Aragon Network charter has been put to a vote and passed by the community. This was the first step in the Aragon Network DAO becoming a reality.
The Aragon Network (AN) DAO - as it will be known - will exhibit a full separation of powers between a decentralized legislative assembly to propose and approve proposals (i.e. Aragon Voice + social channels), an executive process to enact proposals and Aragon Court as the judicial branch to resolve subjective disputes.
We are now running Aragon’s first ever elections process for the first three Sub-DAOs.
You can find all the elections currently running bellow:
We are also looking for the Decentralised ID solution to secure the elections process. You can see the teams that have applied here ➡️
Aragon Court 👨⚖️
Aragon Court is running with the first mock disputes having just been completed. This is a critical piece of the Web3 infrastructure and there are already over 170 Guardians judging cases.
